Has anyone done a successful RMA on their Sapphire 290x when they have slapped on aftermarket cooling?
What i hateful is:
1) You have the card
2) You lot put on a waterblock
3) For RMA, yous remove the waterblock
4) Supersede back the original air cooler
5) Ship to RMA
6) Receive and successful RMA?
Im scared to go this Sapphire 290x because if i put on the waterblock it would obviously void warranty when i start to turn the screws loose of the original stock cooler.
I want to put an EK full block on it but i dont want to void warranty.
I practice not have the 290x all the same, but i can get it in a trade.

Arguably they should only take a right to refuse your RMA if at that place was a warranty sticker on i of the screws. Otherwise they could only know that you removed the cooler past sampling the thermal paste mayhap? My Gigabyte 290 had no warranty stickers and the original cooler is prissy and sealed upward in its box. My MSI 290 has a warranty sticker and its withal waiting on a waterblock

Thanks for the respond altsanity,
so basically if information technology has the sticker on the screw i am "screwed"....
I was thinking... what if i just carefully removed the sticker and placed it back on.... how would they know? LOL. or similar... if they check the TIM then theres no way im going to go away with that lol....

Lol I've tried advisedly taking off warranty stickers earlier but so far I've had no luck
heatgun/hot cloth/scalpel 'could' work
I haven't heard of anyone being refused an RMA from the TIM being tested on a gpu. Only with cpus and that with staining on the IHS from using liquid metal TIM
